No. 3 Men’s Volleyball to Take on Rival No. 2 El Camino in the CCCAA Semifinals

The No. 3 Long Beach City College men's volleyball are set to take on No. 2 El Camino College in the California Community College Athletics Association (CCCAA) State Championship Semifinals at Fullerton College on Thursday, Apr. 25 at 5 p.m.

The Vikings look to reclaim the state title as they won the 2016 State Championship by defeating Orange Coast College. Last season, the Vikings suffered a tough loss to LA Pierce in the CCCAA Semifinals after going undefeated all season.

This season, the Vikings have battled with the Warriors twice in conference action. In the first game at El Camino, the Vikings fell to the Warriors in a tough 3-2 battle. Freshman outside hitter Kyle Anema led the Vikings with 28 kills against the Warriors.

Then when the Warriors came to Long Beach, the Vikings took them down 3-2 to share the Western State Conference crown. Freshman setter Joseph Rocha was an asset as he set a career-high record of 50 assists during the game.

If you can't make the CCCAA Semifinals at Fullerton College at 5 p.m., the game will be live streamed through SoCalCollegeSports1 on YouTube.
