Vikings Set for State Quarterfinal Clash at No. 3 San Diego Mesa
The Vikings men’s volleyball team is taking on No. 3 San Diego Mesa in the playoffs.
The No. 6 Long Beach City College men's volleyball team (14-7) is headed south for a showdown in the 3C2A State Championship Quarterfinals, taking on No. 3 San Diego Mesa (19-3) on Friday, April 18 at 6 p.m.
The Vikings are looking for redemption after falling to the Olympians 3-1 in their season opener back in January. Since then, Long Beach has built momentum with a strong regular season finish and is ready to make a deep postseason run.
A win on Friday would send the Vikings to the 3C2A State Semifinals, hosted at Orange Coast College. The semifinals are set for Thursday, April 24 at 5 and 7 p.m., with the championship match scheduled for Saturday, April 26 at 7 p.m. Both rounds will be streamed live by BAOSN.
