Men's Water Polo: Long Beach rolls to 22-8 win over American River

The Long Beach City College men's water polo team cruised to a 22-8 non-conference win over visiting American River College on Friday at LBCC.

The win closed out the Vikings' regular-season schedule. LBCC will head into the postseason with a 22-8 overall record.

Long Beach jumped out to a 4-1 advantage in the first quarter against ARC and was up 9-2 at halftime. The LBCC defense dominated the Beavers by forcing 15 turnovers.

On offense, 13 different Vikings scored goals with freshmen Filip Bernat (pictured, left) and Antonio Vilches (pictured, right) leading all scorers with three goals each.

LBCC returns to action next week (Nov 4-5) when it will compete at the South Coast Conference Championships at Mt. San Antonio College.
