Sophomore Dor Apffel (pictured) scored five goals to lead the No. 4 state-ranked Long Beach City College men's water polo team to a 20-10 South Coast Conference win over visiting Los Angeles Trade-Tech College on Wednesday.

The win was the Vikings' seventh straight and improved to their record to 10-2 overall and 4-0 in conference play.

Long Beach opened the contest with eight unanswered goals and led by as many as 12 goals (13-1) after freshman Rasool Garawi's goal at the 4:50 mark in second half.

Sophomore Michael Carrillo had four goals and freshman Nikola Mihajlovic came out of goal to score three goals in the fourth quarter.

The Long Beach men return to action on Friday (Oct. 12) when they will compete at the one-day Riverside tournament.
