Fresh off its South Coast Conference championship final win on Saturday, the defending state champion Long Beach City College men's water polo team has earned the No. 2 seed for the upcoming Southern California Regional Championships.

The Southern California Regionals are set for November 13-15 at Citrus College in Glendora.

The Vikings men take a 16-game winning streak into the regionals and are 21-2 overall. Long Beach will face the winner of No. 7 Grossmont College and No. 10 Riverside City College in a second-round game on Friday (Nov. 14) at 4:30 p.m. A win would put the Vikings in Saturday's (Nov. 15) semifinal at 12:15 p.m. against either No. 3 Los Angeles Valley College or No. 6 Palomar College.

The championship final is scheduled for Saturday at 4 p.m. A first or second-place finish is needed to advance to the state championships.
