The Long Beach City College men's water polo team wrapped up its regular-season schedule with a 21-0 shutout victory over visiting El Camino College on Wednesday.

Long Beach blitzed the Warriors with four goals in the opening two minutes on its way to the South Coast Conference rout.

Freshman Giorgio La Rosa (Catania, Italy) scored five of the Vikings' eight goals in the first quarter before he was lifted for the rest of the contest. Sophomore Max Taylor (Las Vegas, NV) added three goals as 11 different Vikings scored.

The Long Beach defense totaled 26 steals on the day, getting a team-high four from Taylor and freshman Mark Denison (Millikan HS). Sophomore Noah Borin (Vista Murrieta HS) and freshman Nick Wood (Newport Harbor HS) had five saves each in goal for Long Beach.

The Long Beach men went a perfect 6-0 in conference play and take an 18-4 overall record into next week's (Nov. 6-7) SCC Championship tournament at Cerritos College.
