Long Beach extends winning streak to four, beats El Camino 19-7

The Long Beach City College men's water polo surged to its fourth straight win, beating El Caminmo College by a final score of 19-7 in a South Coast Conference game played at the Los Alamitos Joint Forced Base.

Long Beach improved to 7-1 overall and 2-0 in the SCC.

The Vikings' offense was relentless in the first half. LBCC stormed out to a 7-1 lead after the first quarter and held a 15-3 advantage at halftime.

Nine different Vikings scored on a balanced attack. Tiago Westlund led LBCC with five goals while Andrej Maodus and Nikola Jancic both scored three times. Austin Peterson added two goals and two assists.

Kai Goeku and Isaac Zabukovec split even time in goal for the Vikings. Goeku had four saves while Zabukovec posted six.

Long Beach returns to action on Friday (Sep. 24) when the Vikings will compete at the two-day Central Coast Tournament at Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo.
