Radunovic Earns SCC Coach of the Year, Men's Water Polo Earns Seven All-Conference Nods

2021 All-SCC Men's Water Polo

It was just announced by the South Coast Conference that seven Long Beach City College men's water polo athletes earned All-Conference selections following a first place showing in the South Coast Conference Tournament and 21-6 overall record at the end of the season.

Coach Djoko Radunovic earned his first SCC Coach of the Year award after going undefeated with a 7-0 record in conference play. Freshman attacker Tommaso Baldineti earned the Most Valuable Player award after holding the conference with 66 goals, 44 assists and 40 steals this season.

Freshman defender Nikola Jancic, sophomore attacker Andrej Maodus, freshman attacker Nicolas Fedotov, and freshman goalie Kai Goeku all took home First-Team honors. Jancic and Maoduc averaged 50 goals each during conference play, while Fedotov tallied up 35 steals, and Goeku had 132 saves in the cage.

Freshman attacker Itay Batito and sophomore center Austin Peterson were named to the Second-Team list. Batito had 22 goals, 12 assists and 12 steals,while Peterson had 33 goals, 18 steals, and 5 blocks.

The men's water polo team finished their season in the SoCal Regional Playoffs where they fell to Grossmont College 13-12.
