Men’s Water Polo Takes Down Sierra 12-6 in Home Opener

The men's water polo team defeated the Sierra College Wolverines 12-6 on Thursday afternoon. With the win, the Vikings hold a 3-2 overall record at the start of the season.

Standouts were freshman defender Sandro Pueyo with five goals on 12 shots. He also led the team with three assists and drew two exclusions to help drive the Vikings' offense to 6 on 5s.

Sophomore attacker Michael Minera also triumphed on offense with three goals, while Colley Ochoa tallied two.

Sophomore goalkeeper Blake Borders allowed six Wolverine goals while nabbing eight saves for the Vikings.

The men's water polo team will return to the pool on Saturday, Sept. 15 at CSU Long Beach at 10 a.m.
