Men’s Cross Country: Vikings take 10th place at Orange Coast Classic

The Long Beach City College men's cross country team totaled 281 points to finish in 10th place out of 18 teams at the highly competitive Orange Coast Classic on Saturday at Fairview Park in Costa Mesa.

Freshman Michael Delgado led the Vikings with his 23rd-place finish. He cleared the four-mile course with a time of 21:09.66.

San Bernardino Valley College took the team title with 43 points. Mizrael Mendez of Glendale College was the individual winner with a time of 20:21.41.

The LBCC men return to action on Thursday (Sep 22) when a portion of the team will compete at the Lou Vasquez Invitational in San Francisco. Other members will be in action on Friday (Sep 23) at the Golden West Invitational at Central Park in Huntington Beach.
