Men’s Cross Country: Vikings 23rd at SoCals, Delgado advances to state

The Long Beach City College men's cross country team totaled 625 points to finish in 23rd place out of 28 teams at the 2011 Southern California Championships at Cucamonga-Guasti Regional Park in Ontario on Friday.

LBCC freshman Michael Delgado (pictured) has qualified as an individual for the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) Cross Country State Championship. He finished in 79th place overall on Friday, clearing the muddy four-mile course with a time of 21:47.74.
