Men's Cross Country: Toliver leads Long Beach at SoCal Preview meet
The Long Beach City College men's cross country team saw its toughest competition of the season on Friday and finished in 29th place at the Southern California Preview meet at Santa Clarita's Central Park.

The Vikings totaled 781 points and were led for the second straight week by sophomore Jerry Toliver (Artesia HS). He cleared the four-mile course with a time of 24:18.35 to finish in 102nd place.

American River College was first in the team standings with 19 points, including the top three individuals. ARC's Will Reyes finished in first place with a time of 20:45.46.

The Vikings will have three weeks off from competition and return to action on October 4 at the San Diego Invitational at Mission Bay Park.
