LBCC Men's Cross Country Team Places 12th at Palomar Invitational

The Long Beach City College men's cross country squad competed in the Palomar Invitational on Friday morning against stern competition at Guajome Park in Oceanside, CA. The Vikings worked to place 12th overall with sophomore Taylor Leon (Downey, CA) leading the pack.

Leon topped the Viking performances by finishing in the top-50 with an overall mark of 23:04 to place 46th overall. He utilized an average mile time of 5:46 to earn his final position. Freshman Jesus Cortes (Los Angeles, CA) placed second amongst the Long Beach team by crossing the finish line with an overall time of 24:24.1 to earn him 77th place.

Freshman Joseph Cho (Cypress, CA) - 128th, 30:42.8
Freshman Victor Galvan (Los Angeles, CA) - 136th, 37:13.4
Freshman Luis Lozano (Bell Gardens, CA) - 137th, 38:04.3

The Vikings will compete in the SoCall Preview/Brubaker Invitational in Orange, CA on Friday, September 16 at 12 noon.
