Vikings pick up 5-2 South Coast Conference win at Pasadena

Freshman Amanda Sandoval (North Torrance HS) went 2 for 4 with 2 RBI to help lead the Long Beach City College softball team to a 5-2 South Coast Conference win at Pasadena City College on Thursday. LBCC improved to 4-6 overall and 2-2 in conference play.
Sandoval smacked a two-run single in the top of the second as part of a three-run rally. Sophomore Mary Gonzales (Banning HS) also added a RBI double.
Sophomore Natalie Ayala (Torrance HS) picked up the win to improve to 4-3. She allowed two runs and eight hits over six innings.
Freshman Rayleen Pallan (California HS) reached base three times for the Vikings (1 for 2, 2 walks) and scored a pair of runs.
LBCC returns to action on Saturday (Feb 22) when it will play a pair of non-conference games in San Diego. The Vikings take on San Diego Mesa College at 11 am and will face Santa Ana College at 1 pm.
