Long Beach City College couldn't get much going offensively as the Vikings totaled just two hits in a 4-1 South Coast Conference loss to visiting Mt. San Antonio College on Thursday. LBCC dropped its second straight game to fall to 10-10 overall and 3-5 in conference play.

Mt. SAC (15-2, 7-1 SCC) jumped on Vikings starting pitcher Brooke Loard (Millikan HS) early, scoring two runs in the first inning and single runs in the second and third.

LBCC sophomore Doreen Corella (San Pedro HS) broke up Tiffany Kennedy-Cummings' bid at a perfect game in the bottom of the fourth inning with her one-out single.

The Vikings scored their lone run in the sixth when freshman Yulissa Dominguez (Santa Fe HS) drew a one-out walk and then came in to score on a two-out throwing error by Mt. SAC third baseman Natalie Winokur.

Loard went the distance in the loss and saw her record drop to 4-7. She allowed three earned runs and 10 hits.

Aimee Rodriguez went 2 for 3 with a RBI to lead Mt. SAC at the plate while Kennedy-Cummings picked up the victory to improve to 7-1. She struck out nine, allowed an unearned run and two hits.

Long Beach returns to action on Tuesday (Mar. 15) at 3 p.m. when the Vikings host rival Cerritos College in a SCC game.
