It was recently announced by the South Coast Conference (SCC) that six Long Beach City College softball student-athletes earned SCC-South All-Conference accolades at the conclusion of the regular season. Sophomore pitcher Alissa Cienfuegos, freshman utility Raven Agapay, and sophomore first baseman Julia Juarez all earned First-Team All-Conference nods, while sophomore left fielder Alijah Vega and freshman second baseman Jennifer Tobar brought in Second-Team All-Conference honors. Sophomore left fielder Lauren Blevins also earned All- Conference Honorable Mention accolades.

Cienfuegos not only earned her second First-Team Honors, but was also named the SCC–South Pitcher of the Year and on the All-State honors list. Cienfuegos proved to be an all-around weapon for the Vikings as she was a threat on the mound and at the dish. As a pitcher she boasted 145 strikeouts and averaged 8 strikeouts per game during conference, while holding a winning record of 14-12. As a hitter, she aquired a batting average of .375 and nailed 12 home runs, placing her eighth on the leaderboard in state, on top of 39 runs with 48 hits.

Agapay earned First-Team honors with her consistency at the plate and on the field. She blasted eight total home runs this season to put her in the fourth spot on the leaderboard in the conference. This year, she boasted 21 runs, 26 RBIs and 38 hits. She dominated in doubles with smashing 12 throughout the season. She was right behind Cienfuegos with a .325 batting average and had a .684 slugging percentage.

Juarez earned First-Team accolades by being a force at first base. Juarez played in 38 games with 119 at-bats. Juarez had 39 runs for the Vikings with 25 RBI and only struck out once during the entire season. She was a constant key to success at first with 105 put-outs and was near perfect at the base with a fielding percentage of .965.

Vega brought home Second-Team praises with her performance on the field and on the plate. Vega smashed the ball 46 times to get on base with a .421 on base percentage. She had 19 RBIs and 23 runs for the Vikings. She was quick at the bases and had 9 total stolen bases.

Tobar earned her first-career Second-Team honors with her solid contributions as the starting second baseman for the Vikings. Tobar had a fielding percentage of .900 in conference and totaled 23 assists throughout the season. She also tallied 32 put-outs and participated in three double plays. At the dish, Tobar had 47 hits and 29 runs.

Blevins earned All-SCC Honorable Mention with her steady efforts in left field. She was flawless in the field during conference with nine put outs and boasted a 1.00 fielding percentage. She was the fastest on the team with 17 stolen bases and drove in five RBIs.

The Vikings continue play in the CCCAA Regional Playoffs on Tuesday, May 1 at Fullerton College at 3 p.m.
