The No. 15 Vikings fell to the East Los Angeles College Huskies 3-1 on Thursday evening at Mayfair Park. With the loss, the Vikings drop to 9-7 overall and 6-5 in conference play.

Sophomore Daisy Torres (5-6) took the loss in the circle with allowing three runs on 10 hits in seven innings of work.

The Vikings were first on the board in the bottom of the second inning and a base on balls RBI from freshman right fielder Deandra Vasquez to score in sophomore short stop Joette Vega to lead the Vikings 1-0.

The Huskies cae back in the third with back-to-back RBI singles to take the lead away from the Vikings 2-1. They scored one more in run in the top of the fourth to keep the lead and take the conference win 3-1.

The Vikings will return to the field on Tuesday, Mar. 10 at Mt. San Antonio College at 3 p.m.
