Dominant Vikings Conquer Huskies in 18-0 Shutout

 In another dominating showdown, the No.4/7 Long Beach City College Vikings triumphed over the East Los Angeles College Huskies with a commanding 18-0 victory in just five innings on Tuesday afternoon. Keeping their streak alive with a ninth consecutive win, the Vikings remain undefeated in the South Coast Conference, boasting a flawless 6-0 record and an impressive 15-4 overall standing.

Ace pitcher Bayleigh Fry (9-2) delivered a masterful performance in the circle, holding the Huskies hitless and scoreless while striking out three batters. Mariah Zapata stepped in to close out the game, allowing only one hit over the final two innings.

The Vikings wasted no time asserting their dominance, storming ahead with an explosive first inning that saw them rack up an impressive 10 runs. They continued their relentless onslaught throughout the remaining innings. Xiomei Geluz showcased her prowess at the plate, going two-for-two with three runs and two RBIs, while Anaya Togia and Jordyn Villanueva both contributed with perfect two-for-two performances, scoring two runs each.

With their sights set on further victories, the Vikings will return to their home field on March 14 to take on LA Harbor at 3 p.m., ready to showcase their formidable skills once again.
