The Long Beach City College softball squad dominated the Pasadena City College Lancers in an 8-1 victory, extending their winning streak to fourteen games straight. The Vikings maintain their flawless record in the South Coast Conference, boasting a perfect 9-0 standing.

Mariah Zapata (8-1) commanded the pitcher's circle, limiting the Lancers to just one run on five hits while racking up an impressive 11 strikeouts.

The Vikings seized an early lead with an RBI single by Robin Garcia in the third inning. Their offense exploded in the fifth inning, sparked by a clutch 2 RBI double from Garcia, followed by another 2 RBI double from Jordyn Villanueva, and topped off with a 2 RBI single from Alejandra Mota, stretching their lead to 7-0.

Although the Lancers managed to score one run in the sixth inning, it wasn't enough to thwart the Vikings' dominance. Anaya Togia's RBI single, driving in Xiomei Geluz, sealed the deal with an 8-1 triumph over Pasadena.

Next up, the Vikings will defend their home turf against Mt. SAC on Thursday, March 28, at 3 p.m.
