Angel, a former Viking standout, returns for her seventh season as head coach and 11th season overall with the coaching staff at Long Beach City College in 2014.

Angel has led the Vikings to playoff berths in 2008, 2009, and 2011, including a spot at the 2008 State Championships.

Entering the 2013 season, Angel has a career overall record of 152-100-2 over six years at LBCC.

As a player, Angel was a two-time All-South Coast Conference catcher for LBCC during the 1996 and 1997 seasons. She was also named to the All-State Tournament team her sophomore year when the Vikings finished fourth.

Following LBCC, she went on to play two seasons at Northwest Missouri State University. After her final two years of eligibility, she served as an assistant coach at NMSU for four seasons.

Angel attended Mayfair High School and received her BA and Master’s degree in education from Northwest Missouri State in 2003.
