Track & Field Take Fourth at SCC Finals

The Long Beach City College Track & Field team traveled to El Camino College for the second day of competition for the South Coast Conference Finals on Friday, Apr. 27.

Sophomore distance runner Tylor Wallace led the Vikings with placing third in the 1500 meter and second 800m finals.

Freshman distance runner Kelsey Williamson pumped up the acceleration in the finals with a 5th place finish in the 800m. Sophomore Sherrice Pelle was in the lead during her hurdle race until she hit the 5th hurdle in the race and took a complete fall.

Both the women and men's teams took fourth place overall in team scoring.

The following athletes will move on to the SoCal Regional Prelims at San Diego Mesa on Saturday, May 5.
