The Long Beach City College women’s basketball team defeated the Pasadena City College Lancers 61-45 on Wednesday night in the Hall of Champions.

The Long Beach City College women's basketball team defeated the Pasadena City College Lancers 61-45 on Wednesday night in the Hall of Champions. With the win, the Vikings advance to 9-8 overall. As a whole, the team had 47 rebounds against the Lancers, 12 assists and had the largest lead of the night by 17 points.
The Lancers initially took the lead in the first quarter 10-7, but then Vikings bounced back and took the 26-21 lead at the half, and continued their offensive momentum throughout the game.
Freshman wing Donavion Huskey led the team with double-double of 19 points and 21 rebounds. She was quick in the paint as she garnered multiple fastbreak points.
Sophomore guard Isabel Lizarraga had 17 points and seven steals.
The Vikings will be back on the court on Friday, Jan. 17 against East Los Angeles College at El Camino College at 5 p.m.
