The women's basketball team fell to Moorpark College 55-44 on Friday afternoon in the Hall of Champions.
The Raiders came out strong on the Vikings as they took off in the first quarter with a 12-8 lead. They pushed full throttle going into halfway and adding 21 more points to the board. The Vikings came out after halftime to outscore the Raiders 16-10, but couldn't keep up in the fourth quarter and eventually fell 55-44.
Sophomore point guard Chioma Okenwa led the team with the double-double of 12 points, and 11 rebounds. Freshman guard Brillana Boyd added 9 points with 3 rebounds to the board, and freshman guard Jezelle Moreno threw 9 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists.
The Vikings will return to action on Wednesday, Nov. 22 at Victor Valley College at 6 p.m.
