On Wednesday night, the Vikings women's basketball team suffered a 72-61 defeat against the East Los Angeles College Huskies, causing their overall record to slide to 8-8.
Freshmen guards Brillana Boyd and Jezelle Moreno collaborated to contribute half of the Vikings' points, each securing seven rebounds. Freshman guard Kimberly Cruz-Martinez showcased her offensive abilities with six assists, seven rebounds, and a total of 12 points.
Looking ahead, the Vikings are set to resume play on Friday, January 19, at Mt. San Antonio College at 7 p.m.
