The 16th-ranked women's basketball team of the Vikings secured a decisive victory over the Compton College Tartars with a final score of 99-42 this past Wednesday evening. Following this conference triumph, the Vikings now boast a season record of 9-9, with a flawless 1-0 standing in the South Coast Conference.
Impressively, freshman guard Brillana Boyd showcased her skills on the court, leading the team with 19 points, seven rebounds, and three assists. Another notable performer for the Vikings was freshman guard Jezelle Moreno, who contributed significantly with 14 points, nine rebounds, and six steals. Additionally, the tandem efforts of freshman point guard Salma Smith and freshman guard Mikaela Robinson, each contributing 14 points, played a pivotal role in the Vikings' seamless triumph over the Tartars.
