Last Saturday, in Round Two of the 3C2A Regional Playoffs, the Long Beach City College Vikings secured a 68-59 victory over the Victor Valley College Rams. Freshmen Brillana Boyd and Jezelle Moreno led the scoring charge for the Vikings, each contributing 17 points, while Kimberly Cruz- Martinez added 13 points and nine rebounds to the scoreboard.

Following their triumph in the second round, the Vikings are set to journey to No. 1 Mt. San Antonio College for the ultimate round of the SoCal Regional Playoffs on Saturday, March 9. The outcome of Round 3 will determine the contender advancing to the State Championships at Mt. San Antonio College on March 14.

Notably, the Vikings have already clashed with the Mounties twice this season. They suffered a 62-47 defeat in their second game of the season in November, followed by a heart-wrenching 60-59 loss in the LA Valley Tournament in December.
