Women’s Soccer: Long Beach rallies to earn 1-1 draw at No. 10 Mt. SAC

The Long Beach City College women’s soccer team rallied late to come away with a 1-1 South Coast Conference tie at No. 10 state-ranked Mt. San Antonio College on Friday. Paola Alonso (pictured) scored for the Vikings in the 75th minute.

The Long Beach City College women's soccer team rallied late to come away with a 1-1 South Coast Conference tie at No. 10 state-ranked Mt. San Antonio College on Friday.

The Mounties (9-0-1, 3-0-1 SCC) went ahead 1-0 on a goal in the 67th minute. But LBCC's Paola Alonso (pictured) scored in the 75th minute off an assist from Marissa Macias for the equalizer.

Long Beach, now 4-3-3, 0-1-3 in the SCC, returns to action on Tuesday (Oct. 9) when it travels to face rival Cerritos College at 4 p.m.
