Women's Soccer: Vikings rally to beat Cuyamaca 2-1 in season opener
The LBCC women's soccer team rallied from 1-0 halftime deficit to defeat Cuyamaca College 2-1 to open the 2013 season at the Ventura College tournament on Thursday. Sophomore Rocio Hernandez (pictured) scored the game winner in the 75th minute.

The Long Beach City College women's soccer team rallied from 1-0 halftime deficit to defeat Cuyamaca College 2-1 to open the 2013 season at the Ventura College tournament on Thursday.
Freshman Arlene Hernandez got the Vikings on the board with her unassisted goal in the 58th minute. And in the 75th minute, sophomore Rocio Hernandez (pictured) put Long Beach ahead for good with the game-winning goal off the assist from sophomore Liliana Montano.
Freshman goalkeeper Karen Nuno posted four saves for LBCC in the win.
Long Beach (1-0) returns to tournament play on Saturday at 9:00 am when the Vikings will face City College of San Francisco.
