Viking women's soccer tied the Golden West College Rustlers 1-1 Friday afternoon at the Vikings Soccer Field. After taking the lead in the first half at the 43rd minute, The Rustlers scored to ultimately tie the game in extra minutes.

Freshman forward from Warren High School, Jennifer Delgadillo, smashed a goal from a overhead kick into the back of the net. Long Beach then took control offensively and aggressively for the rest of the half and kept the Rustlers out of the box until extra minutes in the final half.

The Rustlers and the Vikings went back and forth on shots on goal with attempting 10 shots each, with four of those shots being from sophomore defender Aubree Furman.

Freshman goalkeeper Briana Alarcon finished the game with five saves in 90 minutes of action.

The Vikings will play again on Tuesday, Sept 12 at La Valley at 4 p.m.
