Six Women's Soccer Athletes Named to All-Conference Team

It was announced by the South Coast Conference (SCC) that six Long Beach City College women's soccer earned All-SCC South Division Honors following a 5-3 conference season. Freshman forward Brittany Caudillo, freshman forward Quinn Trowbridge and freshman defender Cassandra Hodge brought in first-team honors, while freshman defender Leah Rouse, freshman midfielder Yesenia Hernandez and sophomore midfielder Madison Slade earned second-team accolades.

Caudillo earned first-team honors as she started in fifteen games this season. She is recognized for being an offensive force, ranking fifth overall in the SCC for 10 total goals, two of which were game-winning goals in conference games.

Trowbridge brought home first-team accolades was another strong offensive force for the Vikings this season. She started in all twenty games that she participated in and made eight total goals this season. She totaled 44 shots this season and had three game-winning goals for the Vikings.

Hodge was named to the first-team as a strong defender. She contributed to the Vikings defense by maintaining and supporting the backline. She was a defensive leader as she was the go-to for throw-ins and penalty kicks.

Rouse earned second-team honors as freshman defender. She was a versatile utility for the Vikings as she scored eight goals this season. She was a catalyst for three goals as she tallied three assists.

Hernandez was named to the second-team as a midfielder as she hit six goals this season and helped create two Viking opportunities with two assists.

Slade rounds out the awards with her second-team honors as a Viking defender. She was another driving force as she protected the goal with her quick feet and anticipation. She made two goals this season and had with four assists.
