Six Women's Soccer Athletes Named to All-Conference Team

It was announced by the South Coast Conference (SCC) that six Long Beach City College women's soccer earned All-SCC South Division Honors following a 6-2 conference season. Freshman forward Allison Rose Veloz, sophomore forward Brittany Caudillo, and sophomore defender Cassandra Hodge all brought in First-Team honors, while freshman midfielders Melissa MonjarazAlyna Campos and Kimberly Izarraras earned Second-Team accolades.

Veloz earned a top spot on the list by leading the team and the conference with 19 goals and seven assists. Caudillo was also fourth on the conference leaderboard as she totaled 10 goals during the season.

Hodge made her second appearance on the First-Team All-Conference list this year with her stellar efforts as a defender and as the go-to for throw-ins and penalty kicks for the Vikings. Dependable as always, she was a huge asset to the Vikings defensive line.

Monjaraz, Campos, and Izarraras all made the Second-Team All-Conference as they an impact as midfielders in conference action. Combined they had five goals and seven assists for the Vikings.

The Vikings will return to the field next Fall.
