The Vikings fell to the Mount San Antonio College Mounties 3-1 on Friday afternoon at Veterans Memorial Stadium. With the conference loss, the Vikings drop to 7-4-2 overall, and 4-2 in the South Coast Conference.
The Mounties were first on the scoreboard with a goal in the first half, then after the break, they added two more to the board to lead 3-0.
With a few minutes left to spare, freshman forward Alieza Vargas Deason put one in the back of the Mounties' net with the help from freshman midfielder Monserrath Galindo to finalize the game 3-1.
The Vikings will return to the field on Tuesday, Oct. 26 against El Camino at 7 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Stadium.
