Long Beach City College women's soccer athlete Alieza Vargas Deason has recently signed her national letter of intent to continue her athletic and academic endeavors with the University of Maine Fort Kent.

This season, Vargas Deason received First-Team honors as she tallied eight goals and had eight assists during conference play. She was major offeensive asset to the Vikings, and helped the team advance to the SoCal Regional Playoffs.

The University of Maine Fort Kent Tigers are led by Alex Smith and compete in the NAIA USCAA D1. Last season, the Tigers posted an overall record of 9-6-3.
