The Long Beach City College women's soccer team defeated the Fullerton College Hornets 3-2 in their home opener on Friday afternoon. With the win, the Vikings advance to 2-0 overall.
Forward Evelyn Sandoval was on fire as she scored two goals for the Vikings. She knocked in the first goal, while midfielder Lluvia Mariscal powered in the second goal to lead the Vikings 2-1.
At the 82nd minute, the Hornets tied the game 2-2, but Sandoval answered back with the game-winning goal, and the assist from forward Genesis Lopez to end the game 3-2.
