The No. 3 Vikings women's soccer team defeated the Cerritos College Falcons 3-0 in conference action on Tuesday afternoon. With the win, the Vikings are still undefeated with a 9-0-4 overall record, and a 4-0-1 record in the South Coast Conference.

Forward Genesis Lopez scored the first goal for the Vikings with forward Evelyn Sandoval on the assist. In the second half, midfielder Paige Rodriguez put her finishing touch on the ball with help from forward Diana Leon to bring the Vikings up 2-0. For the third and final goal, Evelyn Sandoval drove the ball through the Falcons to boot the ball in the net to finalize the 3-0 victory.

Goalkeepers Veronica Salcido and Leila Saldic split the game in the cage and held the shutout for the Vikings.

The women's soccer team will be back in action on Friday, Oct. 20 at Rio Hondo at 6 p.m.
