The No. 18 Long Beach City College women's soccer team played to a 1-1 draw against Orange Coast College on Tuesday afternoon.
After a scoreless first half, Kamren Velasquez found the back of the net to give the Vikings a 1-0 lead. However, the Pirates equalized with a goal in the 76th minute. Goalkeeper Jackie Garibay made two saves for the Vikings, while forwards Lorena Moreno and Velasquez each registered two shots on the Pirates' goal.
The Vikings will return to action on Friday, Sept. 13, when they travel to Fullerton College at 3:00 p.m.
