SoCal Regional Bracket
The road to a state championship begins this week for the Long Beach City College women's soccer team. On Monday, the California Community College Athletic Association (3C2A)released playoff brackets for the upcoming Southern California Regional Playoffs.
The Vikings received the No. 14 seed and will host No. 19 Orange Coast College on Wednesday, Nov. 20 at 7 p.m.
Ticket prices for the 3C2A postseason game are $12 for general admission and $8 for all identified students, faculty, staff, senior citizens age 60 and over, and children under 12 years old. You can purchase your tickets on the Hometown Ticketing app.
The Vikings, under first-year head coach Tino Nunez, captured the South Coast Conference South Division championship with a 6-2-1 record, and placed fourth in the SCC Tournament.
The Vikings are making their fifth-straight postseason appearance. Last year, LBCC suffered a 2-0 loss to Cypress College in the second round of regionals.
Orange Coast College wrapped up the regular season with a 9-9-3 overall record and finished fourth in the Orange Empire Conference with a 7-6-1 record.
Three wins are needed by Long Beach to advance to the 2024 3C2A State Championships on Dec. 6 & 8 at American River College in Sacramento.
