Swim Looks to Compete at the CCCAA State Championships

The Long Beach City College men's and women's swim teams qualified two athletes to compete in the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) State Championships at De Anza College May 2- 4.

On the women's team, freshman Victoria Rowe qualified in the 100-yard butterfly and the 200-yard butterfly. At the South Coast Conference (SCC) Finals, Rowe took second place in the 100-yard butterfly with a 1:01.92. Then she placed first in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:21.36.

Freshman Michael Baker qualified for the State Championship in the 200-yard backstroke. Baker placed third at the SCC Finals in the event with a 1:59.03.  

Rowe and Baker will be competing in their events at the CCCAA State Championships at De Anza College on May 2-4. For the CCCAA Swim State Championship results, click here.
