Women's Volleyball: Vikings roll to 3-1 win over East Los Angeles

Freshman outside hitter Danielle Tuitasi (pictured) totaled 25 kills and 17 digs to lead the Long Beach City College women's volleyball team to a 3-1 South Coast Conference win over visiting East Los Angeles College on Friday night.

LBCC won the match by scores of 25-15, 22-25, 28-26, and 25-23 to improve to 7-8 overall and 4-3 in the SCC. It was the Vikings' first win at home in five tries this season.

Sophomore setter Kelsey Dix also had a big night with 60 assists and 10 digs. Freshman outside hitter Lani Samoa added 17 kills and nine digs while freshman outside hitter Doreen Iosua chipped in with 15 kills and 17 digs.

Jessica Delgado led East Los Angeles (4-10, 2-5 SCC) with 15 kills and 17 digs.

Long Beach returns to action on Wednesday (Oct 26) when it travels to Pasadena City College for a 6 pm SCC match.
