Freshman Chanel Brown (Lancaster HS) totaled 17 kills to help lead the Long Beach City College women's volleyball team to a 25-9, 25-20, 25-21 sweep of visiting Pasadena City College on Wednesday at LBCC.

Freshman Emily Hammond (Brethren Christian HS) led the Vikings with 31 assists and 12 digs while freshman Helen Maragos (Santa Fe HS) had seven blocks.

Long Beach improved to 10-11 overall and 7-5 in South Coast Conference play. The Vikings return to action on Friday (Nov. 14) when they travel to Cerritos College for a 6 p.m. match.
