In its final match of the 2015 season, the Long Beach City College women's volleyball team went out on a winning note by cruising to a sweep of Los Angeles Harbor College on Wednesday night at LBCC. The Vikings won the South Coast Conference match by scores of 25-10, 25-11, and 25-14 to end the year with a 7-17 overall record and 5-9 mark in SCC play.

Long Beach set the tone early, jumping out to a 12-2 lead in the opening set. The Vikings hit an impressive .684 in the first before rolling to the 15-point win.

Harbor actually led 4-1 in the second set before the Vikings won 12 of the next 13 points to take a commanding 13-5 advantage. And in the third, Long Beach was up 10-2 and led late 20-6 before the Seahawks put together a rally. But sophomore Helen Marangos' (Santa Fe HS) ace on match point closed out the third-set win and season-ending sweep.
