No. 20 LBCC Women's Volleyball Stretches Winning Streak to Seven Games

The No. 20 Long Beach City College women's volleyball team continued South Coast Conference (SCC) action on Friday night by facing off against L.A. Harbor. The Vikings pushed their winning streak to seven games and earned their second-consecutive set sweep by overpowering L.A. Harbor by the final set scores of 25-18, 25-14, and 25-18.

Sophomore outside Sarah Miller led the way on offense with 11 kills to earn double digit kills for the 14th time this season. She continues to pace the SCC in kills-per-set (4.84), total kills (281), and hitting percentage (.358).

Sophomore outsides Jessica Kaeka and Breana Torres each tallied seven kills, while freshman Melanie Estavillo hammered home four kills. Furthermore, Estavillo recorded two block assists and one solo block.

Setters Mary Delgado and Mary McBride split the setting duties tonight with Delgado leading the way with 16 assists and McBride following with 10 assists. Freshman libero Jordan Diaz chipped in three assists while racking up five digs.

The Vikings (17-3, 5-1 SCC) will round out their conference schedule with two consecutive home games starting with a matchup against Cerritos on Wednesday, November 9th at 6 p.m.
