Vikings Fall to Orange Coast at Home

The Long Beach City College Vikings suffered a tough 3-0 loss to Orange Coast College on Friday evening in the Building Q Gym. With the loss, the Vikings drop to 3-5 overall.

The Pirates came out strong as they opened the game with a service against the Vikings. Throughout the game, the Vikings were not able to garner the correct footing against the Pirates to slow them down.

Sophomore outside hitter Brooke Earkman led the team with 10 kills and had seven digs. Sophomore setter Lexi Randolph and freshman setter Jillian Petnicki had over ten assists each and sophomore libero Doris Woods had 15 digs for the Vikings.

The Vikings will return to the court on Wednesday Sept. 18 at Fullerton College at 6 p.m.
