The Long Beach City College women's volleyball team defeated the East Los Angeles College Huskies in a 3-0 sweep on Friday evening. With the win, the Vikings advance to 16-6 overall and are 11-1 in the South Coast Conference.
Sophomore outside hitter Callissa Candalot was on fire as she nailed 14 kills and had a .524 kill percentage for the Vikings. Sophomore setter Cairon Fido dialed herself in as she totaled 34 assists for the game and freshman defensive specialist Celestial Ropati conquered the court as she had 12 digs to help seal the conference win.
The Vikings will be back in action on Wednesday, Nov. 6 at LA Harbor College at 6 p.m.
