Vikings Fall in Conference Tournament Title Match

The Long Beach City College women's volleyball fell to the El Camino College Warriors 3-1 in the South Coast Conference Tournament finals on Tuesday evening in the Hall of Champions. With the loss, the Warriors take home the conference crown.

The Vikings took the first set against El Camino 25-22, but then dropped the second and third sets (25-22, 25-21). It all came down to the fourth and final set and the Warriors made a comeback and took the set 25-23.

Sophomore outside hitter Brooke Earkman was a constant threat to the Warriors as she totaled 28 kills. Earkman also had 28 digs and one block assists against the Warriors. Freshman outside hitter Callissa Candalot totaled nine digs for the Vikings and led the team with four block assists at the net.
