The No. 3 women's volleyball team swept the No. 6 Rio Hondo College Roadrunners 3-0 on Friday evening in the Hall of Champions in their first round of the South Coast Conference Tournament.
With the win, the Vikings advance to 14-8 overall and 11-5 in conference play. The Vikings won all three sets 25-16, 25-20, and 25-18.
Long Beach will return to the court for Round 2 of the SCC tournament tomorrow at 11 a.m. at El Camino College.
