No. 10 Volleyball Continues Winning Streak With Win Over Cerritos

The state-ranked No. 10 Long Beach City College Vikings brought their winning streak to 9-0 last night with a 3-1 conference win over Cerritos College.

The Vikings took the first two sets 25-15, and 25-22, but then dropped the third set 23-25, and then finished the game with the 25-21 set win.

Sophomore outside hitter Jennifer Lias, freshman outside hitter Jordyn Hollins, and sophomore middle blocker Mikayla Curry all recorded seven kills each.

"It was a good challenge for us today," said Director of Volleyball Operations and Head Coach, Tyler Jackson. "All the teams we play in our conference are super tough, whether home or away, and having Cerritos bring their baseball team into our gym was a challenge. It's always our goal to close out in three sets."

The Vikings Volleyball team will be back in business this Friday, Sept. 22 at Los Angeles City College at 6 p.m.
