The No. 12 Long Beach City College Vikings Volleyball team dominated College of the Canyons, securing a 3-0 sweep on Friday afternoon. This victory keeps the Vikings undefeated with a perfect 3-0 record.
"We've faced many challenges, so it's rewarding to see everything come together," said Director of Volleyball Operations and Head Coach Tyler Jackson. "We're finding our rhythm on the court and are excited to see what the rest of the season holds."
Tainea Allen stood out on offense, leading the team with 10 kills and seven digs. Enaya Vaielua made her presence felt at the net, contributing nine kills, 15 assists, and two solo blocks. Alanna Jones added to the team's momentum with eight kills, helping the Vikings to their first shutout win.
The Vikings return to action on Wednesday, Sept. 4, against Grossmont College at 6 p.m.
