Vikings Dominate East LA College in Sweep, Set Sights on Conference Title

The No. 5-ranked Vikings volleyball team continued their impressive season with a decisive 3-0 sweep over East Los Angeles College. Hadassah Odeyale tallied an outstanding 15 kills leading the offensive charge, with Tainea Allen adding 11 to round out the team's dynamic attack. Defensive powerhouse Kaylani Moncada recorded 16 digs, surpassing the 300-dig mark for the season.
Setting up the offense, Enaya Vaielua contributed 15 assists, two aces, and four kills, keeping the pressure on the Huskies. The Vikings powered through three sets with commanding scores of 25-13, 25-21, and 25-11. Following this victory, the Vikings swept both LA Harbor College and El Camino College, bringing their overall record to 19-1 and their conference record to 5-1.
"The girls played very clean," said assistant coach Tara Keil. "We've made it a goal to minimize our errors regardless of who's on the other side of the net, and tonight, the girls did an excellent job sticking to that plan and playing straightforward, clean volleyball."
The Vikings now set their sights on a pivotal matchup, hosting Cerritos College on Wednesday, November 13, at 6 p.m., where they will compete for the top spot in the South Coast Conference.
