Women's Water Polo: Long Beach moves to 5-1 in conference play with pair of home wins
The Long Beach City College women’s water polo team picked up a pair of South Coast Conference wins at home on Wednesday, beating El Camino College 16-5 and East Los Angeles College 10-2. With the victories, Long Beach improved to 13-5 overall and 5-1 in conference play.

Leading 1-0 over El Camino after the first quarter, LBCC blew the game open with seven unanswered goals in the second to take an 8-0 halftime advantage.
Freshman Ashley Diaz (Esperanza HS) led the Vikings with four goals while freshmen Payton Ballard (Lakewood HS), Angelica Sinay-Gudiel (Poly HS), and Cathryn Lynch (Marina HS) all scored three goals.
The LBCC women return to action on Friday (Oct. 17) at the Riverside tournament.
